UNIT 1: Make your own Menina!

MATERIALS REQUIRED

- Plastic and empty Coke bottle 500 ml

- A small porexpan ball

- White Glue

- An old newspaper

- A plastic cup

- A paint brush

- A plastic straw

- A little wool ball (not too much)

- Recycled Foam rubber (don´t buy them)

- Recycled fabric remains (don´t buy them)

In this unit we are going to work on one special artist: Diego Velázquez. Do you remember in which historical period he lived?

The Early Modern Spain

This historical period is known in Art as the GOLDEN AGE, do you know why? During this period there were many artists and writers who became famous and achieved worldwide recognition.
